Absolut Elyx, handcrafted luxury at Coogee Pavilion

We were welcomed in to the first Absolut Elyx Embassy in Australia. The venue is warm and inviting, hosted at Coogee Pavilion on the rooftop; in you guessed it – a glasshouse. Walking into this phenomenal set-up was like stepping back in time to a 1970’s California cabana. Filled with lush palms and hanging greenery, plush lounges and chairs, adorned in pink toned lighting. It’s every vodka lovers dream.

We were invited to check out this exclusive spot, as part of Absolut’s new Elyx range. Fruity botanical cocktails, espresso martini’s and rosehip tea inspired drinks were just a few of the delicious combinations available. Absolut’s Elyx range is distilled in antique copper columns and what I really loved was how each drink was presented – staying true to Absolut’s tradition they had cocktails that were served in copper pineapples, which you can purchase from their online store.

We were served canapes that paired marvellously with the Elyx range. Smoked salmon and caper bites and prosciutto fritters were just a few of the many luxurious tasting plates that were passed from table to table. There was also the most divine cheese spread – filled with ricotta and honey dips, cheese twists and piles of brie, which was a popular choice between guests.

I ordered the ‘Embassy Martini’, an aromatised wine with the signature flair of Absolut Elyx – my plus one and I were asked to use a floral inspired hand sanitiser to pair with the flavours that were reflected in the drink. As we sipped on martinis the aroma of the botanical hand gel set the tone for this drink perfectly. I loved how Absolut really thought outside the box and not only want you to taste their drinks, but show you that their vodka is so much more than that – they ultimately took our senses on a journey in itself.

Absolut Elyx

As Absolut Elyx state, it is a celebration of handcrafted luxury, Sweden and Copper. The ambience of the glasshouse presented this brand so fittingly.

Skal!
