A summer favourite: Tia Maria and Moonlight Movies

Tis’ the season to be jolly, and what better way to start the silly season right than watching Love Actually under the stars, which features an outstanding British cast filled with celebs like Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightly, and Alan Rickman.

Wednesday night saw the official launch of Tia Maria’s summer pop-up bar at the Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park. Traditional Espresso Martinis were on the menu, as well as the Tia & Tonic and Tia Iced Popcorn Frappe, which was definitely a crowd favourite!

My plus one and I, who have an annual Christmas tradition of watching Love Actually every December, were treated to the VIP experience in ‘Gold Grass’, complete with bean bags, Tia Maria embossed blankets and of course Hugh Grant on the Moonlight Cinema screen.

So Sydney-siders, pack your picnic basket, snacks and favourite bottle of wine (Moonlight is a BYO event), for the perfect summer evening. If you’re feeling peckish, tuck into the resident food trucks, which have a Japanese twist on their delish dinner options. Add some class on to your experience, with the ‘Gold Grass’ packages, which set you up with prime viewing location, luxurious bean bags, and waiters at your service.

With movies running from December until March, you’ll be spoilt for choice on what to see next. Film enthusiasts can expect a mix of festive favourites, classics and of course new releases such as Hustlers, Dirty Dancing, Ford V Ferrari and Last Christmas. Check out the full program here

After all, love actually is all around.
