Here at The Plus Ones we love a good secret – we’re just rubbish at keeping them! So on that note, here’s our pick of the top 5 winter secret parties and events coming up in Sydney:

21 June: Commune Block Party/Market

Located at a secret block in Newtown, Commune have invited the best of food, drinks, music and makers including including Young Henrys, Food Rascals, Kaleido Press, Vilify Apparel and more!

Location to be announced on the day, with an afterparty to follow.

25 Jun, 9 Jul: No56 Secret Parties

Bringing “an authentic taste of Berlin nightlife” to town with line-ups lifted straight from the hallowed halls of Berghain and Watergate, these parties are the brainchild of Salon – Zur Wilden Renate, one of the German capital’s best nightlife haunts. They’re promising to bring some “pretty far-fetched” music and art ideas to the table, pairing the entertainment with an impressive sound system, drinks, Berlin street food and some great DJs.

Location to be revealed to those selected from the list.

27 Jun: Kaleido Launch Party

Kaleido’s second magazine launch party will be held at a secret location in Erskineville, featuring free beer and cider from Young Henrys, amazing live music form Anatole and Lupa J, live art, goodie bags, and great tunes from Tessellate!

16-18 Jul: Underground Cinema MONEY

Underground Cinema is a secret live immersive film screening event held in undisclosed locations throughout  Sydney. It could happen anywhere; a warehouse, a forgotten ballroom, a carpark. Arriving at the locations is like walking onto a film set, with live performances recreating elements of the film you’re about to see!

8 Aug: Emoji Party

From the incredible party makers of Sydney, “Surveillance Parties” and “Funmaker,” comes the town’s first Emoji themed silent-disco party. Location to be revealed closer to the date, with tickets.

 

So, go ahead, be the cool kid in your posse, and impress the heck out of your “plus one.” Take that date to an underground cinema, your journo buddy to a magazine launch, your hipsters to the secret market, and your dancing buddies to an Emoji party!
