5 June Feel-Good Events

Chances are if you’re on The Plus Ones right now, you have a mild to severe case of the FOMOs. Fear not, we’ve got it just as bad. We love events – they’re exciting, social, interesting, and often ridiculously fun. But every now and then, it’s great to know you’re making a difference in your eternal thrill-chase. Below are our top 5 feel-good, charitable events and activities for June.

So go out, have a blast, all in the name of a great cause or two!

 

14 June: Musical Variety Concert

Enjoy a fun afternoon at a Musical Variety Concert dedicated to raise funds for St John Ambulance NSW-funds go towards purchase of an ambulance.

Featuring local artists The Hummy Mummies Ladies Choir and Vocal Duo Mr Mojo.

Sundays: Yoga in the Park – Newtown

Yoga in the Park is a community initiative offering by-donation yoga classes every Sunday in Camperdown Park, Newtown (corner of Church & Prospect St). 8.30-9.30am.

All funds raised go to a compassionate charity of the teacher’s choice.

14 June: Neuroblastoma Run 2 Cure

The Neuroblastoma Run 2 Cure comprises of 3 fun runs – a 10k, a 5k and a 3k. The event will be held on June 14th 2015 at the Domain in Sydney, with proceeds going towards research for finding a cure for Neuroblastoma.

18 June: Reimagine

REIMAGINE is an exciting event that celebrates Australian Red Cross humanitarian efforts.

The event will feature contemporary art, installations, fashion and market stalls, a fashion runway show consisting of up-cycled garments from the Australian Red Cross shops and contributing designers, as well as exciting live music and DJs.

20 June: Variety of Chefs

A mind-blowing gastronomic delight, Variety of Chefs 2015 is without a doubt the tastiest fine dining charity event of the year, supporting Aussie kids who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs. Now in its seventh year, Variety of Chefs will be a true showcase of stunning food and wine, with a roll call of culinary greats heeding the call from around Australia.
