Off the Wagon has arrived at South Melbourne Market. The SO:ME space is playing host to the new range of decadent, delicious and downright delightful chocolate rollers created by Masterchef 2016 contestant Zoe Konikkos.
Off the Wagon has taken the concept of the humble wagon wheel and added bucketloads of talent, sass and flare to create these chocolate rollers. Taking inspiration from her childhood memories of snacking on wagon wheels with her mum, Zoe has put her heart and soul into creating these delicious treats.
My plus one and I got an exclusive preview of the current range of rollers that consists of five standard flavours and a monthly limited edition variation. The current flavours are Lamington, Jaffa, PB&J, Strawberries and Cream, Caramel Popcorn and a limited edition Pumpkin Pie roller.
Each roller is lovingly handcrafted by Zoe herself and all ingredients are of premium quality, ethically sourced and preservative free. The middle of each roller houses a premium jam, encased in some of the fluffiest marshmallow I have ever tasted. My favourite flavour is the Pumpkin Pie; it’s not too sweet, salty and perfect for winter. Close in second are the PB&J and Lamington flavours.
Drawing large crowds of sweet treat aficionados, the Off the Wagon launch was a huge success. The rollers honestly taste as good as they look, and damn do they look good.
You can catch the Off the Wagon team every market day for the next six weeks from 24 August to 2 October at the SO:ME space. Get in early on weekends to avoid being left rollerless and sad (trust me, you will be sad if you don’t get to try one).
If you aren’t able to get to South Melbourne, don’t fret. Off the Wagon will be popping up at The Finders Keepers Markets next from 16 to 18 October.
