Yes, you heard right – hot tub cinema’s are a thing. On a chilly Wednesday night we were invited to drink mulled wine and relax whilst watching ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ in a steamy hot tub.

This idea is pretty genius if you ask me. Hot tub go-getters eagerly awaited for the film to start whilst groups mingled and posed with inflatable ducks and flamingos. For a while, it almost felt like summer, which is why this event is such a success. Fairy lights and a neat location made for the perfect atmosphere. I loved how everyone danced after the movie and the party continued in to the night. There’s no need to worry about leaving your hot tub either if you need a top up of your wine or are feeling a little hungry as waiters and bar staff will serve you from the comfort of your tub. Ah-mazing.

The Hot Tub Cinema Club have been hosting events around major cities for the past few years including London and New York. Sydney were lucky enough to host a select few films with favourites like ‘The Lion King’, ‘Mean Girls’ and of course ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’.
