One on One with Spenser Inwood from Circus Oz

I was incredibly happy when given the opportunity to have a one on one with Spenser Inwood from Circus Oz, their featured flying trapeze performer.

We started with me asking her about how it all started – what inspired her. Spenser said she’d been attracted to it at the age of 8, when she was at school. So, she joined the circus and kept at it until she was 18. Now that’s some commitment.

When asked about her other special talents, she also mentioned she’s also a solo trapeze act, does acrobatics and pole acts, and also plays in a band – both the piano and the tenor horn. “Amazing!” I said. And it was.

As we spoke about the highlights of her career and her favorite performances, she mentioned she’d never forget her time at the MCG Commonwealth Games, when they closed the ceremony.

She loved travelling, she said. It was her favorite perk of being involved in the circus. She loves driving to and from Albury, NSW, where she had grown up as a child.

As the conversation came to a close, when asked about her future travel plans, Spenser mentioned they had a show on the 2nd of September, after which they’ll be in Albury the following Saturday (5th of September) between 1-7:30pm.

It was a pleasure speak to her, and I can’t wait to see her perform live. You should too!
