Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix Hospitality Launch

It’s one of the biggest weeks of the year for Formula 1 fans across the globe – the Australian Grand Prix! As anyone that has been to this high-octane event will tell you, it’s not all about the cars. To celebrate the event next year, we were invited to have a taste of the glitz and glamour coming in 2019.

Rolling up to the front door of Albert Park’s stunning event space Carousel, we were greeted by some very fancy race cars and magical smoke-filled bubbles drifting past the various performers and live musicians. This was only the beginning of the luxurious night.

Foodies, you will be well looked after at the Grand Prix next year! Some of our favourite entertainment groups are bringing their (delicious) expertise to hungry racing fans. Giving us a taste of what we can expect next year were Atlantic Groupfood&desire and GEMA Group. While these names may sound a little corporate, you would definitely recognise some of the top-notch dining and entertainment institutions that they represent. Think The Atlantic, Woolshed and Ms Collins to name just a few.

The GH Mumm was free flowing, and the fresh oyster station was continually topped up. Part artwork, part delicious bites, the food platters were very impressive. Even the salted caramel tarts with meringue were torched to order. It’s clear to see from the bartenders mixing cocktails to the humongous floral arrangements – these hospitality groups are at the top of their field.

Besides the food and drinks, we loved the live illustrations by artist Mads Francis and the illuminated sail boats drifting past Carousel’s lakeside deck with the beautiful Melbourne skyline in the background.

To top the hugely entertaining night, Kate Ceberano performed her hit song “Pash” live on stage with two very passionate dancers. The only downside to the event is now we have to wait until next year to have it all again at the actual Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix! We will see you there!
