Birthday celebrations were doubled last week, as the Novotel played host to not one but two anniversaries. The Ternary shared its first birthday with Accor Hotel’s 25th at the illustrious Darling Harbour location.
With guests arriving from the early evening, a choice of Moet Chandon and Aqua Botanical Mineral Water was offered at the red carpet entrance. A gathering of gleaming faces donned frocks and suits and took advantage of overlooking Sydney’s CBD playground from the terrace.
The night offered an exquisite collection of nibbles and the menu was certainly one that impressed. Chefs sent guests multi-continent with their diverse smorgasbord of canapés. The colourful palate included lamb kafta w/ coz lettuce and pomegranate, Western Australia yabby tails w/ tomato gel, cucumber and apple, as well as oxtail pithiviers. Not to mention dragon egg with saffron and mango yoghurt, betel leafs of smoked flaked salmon w/ salmon pearls and fried shallots, kingfish sashimi with avocado, wasabi and soy and Tempura oysters with ponzu sauce.
Tall white curtains fell from the ceiling before intimate areas, that held pairs of snow white leather chairs between shared bottles of brut. As a band performed modern pop songs with a twist of old school saxophones, the crowd cheered in celebration of Accor Hotels.
The festivity of the Ternary’s 1st birthday and Novotel’s 25th brought a crowd of men and woman eager to appreciate the finer things in life. Held in a superb function area, the Ternary showcased its space for potential parties, graduations and birthday celebrations. The Novotel staff were warm, friendly and down to earth, and their fun nature made the Accor event a success. A quarter of a century of the Novotel was reached with joy and guests left with full gift bags and fuller smiles.
