Hosted at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in Southbank, Sexpo is the world’s largest and longest-running adult-only exhibition. Over three days, the expo celebrates self-discovery, sexual exploration and has some thrilling adult-only entertainment, talks, porn-star meet and greets and educational workshops.
Sexpo is a sanctuary for pleasure-seekers, providing a safe and inclusive environment to satiate curiosities and tantalise the senses. My plus one was quick to point out that the audience who attends is extremely diverse, you’ll find people of all ages, sexualities and interests come along and it is quite a fun and inviting environment.
The weekend of activities include a curated blend of live performances (with everything on show), entertainment, insightful workshops, fashion shows, and DJs.
There’s also a very diverse adult retail zone, offering everything from lingerie, sex toys, and BDSM equipment to leather, latex, and erotic art. If you have a question on any of the items for sale, the teams working here have a wealth of knowledge and are more than happy to show you the ropes (sometimes quite literally).
One of the expo’s most unusual highlights is live art by Pricasso, the world’s only artist who paints portraits with his penis. Yes you read that right.
The quirky sights don’t end there though with the connoisseur of all things kink, Mistress Electra Amore gracing the Kink Stage as well as many other live entertainment acts with our personal favourite on the Friday night being the Men of Dreams who showed off their strip and lap dance skills for some lucky ladies (and men) live on stage.
With multiple stages and zones to cater to various interests, there is something for all persuasions.
The Main Stage features new entertainment every hour, while the Kittens stage resembles a classic strip club experience with live DJs and two poles. The Kink Studio welcomes exploration of BDSM, Conscious Power Dynamics, and Fetish Lifestyles in a safe and inclusive environment and drew large crowds.
Sexpo ensures that education goes hand-in-hand with entertainment. The Sex Ed Seminars provide valuable insights into better relationships and sexual liberation.
