Artvo is an immersive gallery located in the heart of Docklands. The gallery is divided into 11 themed areas, which you make your way through at your own pace. It’s the first of its kind to open in Australia.
Each theme has been beautifully painted by talented artists and include Egypt, World Zone, Aquatic Adventure, Classics, Animals, Enchanted Garden, Jungle Safari — and many more.
Thrilling to both adults and kids alike, each zone is full of large-scale, incredible paintings on walls, floors and roofs, some with added sculptures, that allowed you to immerse yourself in the artwork. The gallery is 1900 square metres, so allow plenty of time to explore.
In each gallery area, specific spots on the floor were marked, telling you were to stand to get the best photo — whether to use landscape or horizontal angles, and other advice to get the best shots. Our favourites were the Enchanted Garden, the Aquatic Adventure, and the World Tour.
Upon arrival at ArtVo we were greeted warmly and given a brief instruction on how to get the most of our visit. In each gallery there was also televisions running continuous instructions on getting the best shot. Then it’s up to you to make your way through each zone and explore the art and marvel at the trickery.
ArtVo offers great ticket deals for families, and is open late Friday and Saturday nights, making it accessible for everyone. There is a small range of snacks on offer and a cloakroom for you to store any bags. It is easily accessible by public transport.
