Welcome to Runway 7, presented by Grazia — the final runway for 2018’s Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. This one is dedicated to the ‘It-Girl’, so naturally, our audience tonight is dressed femininely and impeccably.
Super pop with a perfect-for-ladies’-night-out vibe for the Saturday night fashion event, the show opens with Asilio. Electric blue, fuschia pink (fave!), a polka dot scarf and maybe some love heart shaped sunglasses to wow.
Elliatt brings us femininely-fresh white outfits, with a wooden basket back pack filled with angel breath blossoms. A brimmed hat is the theme or this A/W18 season, and don’t forget that plum for a touch of richness.
Finders Keepers has me loving red frocks with a frill. It’s all about the accessories on this runway. A mismatched scarf in your ponytail creates the perfect match. A denim playsuit or even an off-the-shoulder long sleeve dress, with some light blue… (NEED!) A touch of yellow pop for some playfulness.
I’m loving Keepsake the Label and the emerald green pant, with floral ruffled dress for a daytime occasion. The wrapped headpieces are elegant and fun, and I hope to see more of these in street style.
Talulah has the burst lavenders and lilacs. With a black neck scarf and a matching boot, for a bit of edge. Larger headpieces like something Audrey Hepburn would wear on Breakfast at Tiffany’s. A little bit boho, a little but luxe, with so much sophistication. There’s are also some black lacy pieces, a piece you’ll have timeless kept in your wardrobe.
Third Form has thin straps, with your dark tone florals, hair up kind of look. A black blazer with printed pants with a winter beret.
We Are Kindred have long flowing-goddess pieces, with the finest of fabrics and prints. Pieces for a guest attending a wedding garden under willow trees, or weekend winery luncheon. A flower show of garments, so delicate and beautiful… (sigh!)
