Tall Poppy fashion lable launch for taller women

Tall Poppy is a collection of, in the words of founder Cathy McDonald, ‘clothing for the vertically blessed’. A lovely tall lady herself, measuring in at 185cm, she noticed there was a gap in the market for well proportioned, stylish clothing for tall women. She quit her corporate job and dedicated herself to creating a collection of jeans, pants, jumpsuits, maxis, and other outfits that provide tall women with practical and elegant wardrobe solutions.

Seeking to empower tall women by providing them with clothing choices that they can feel comfortable in at all times, Tall Poppy is conscious of creating a positive impact on the local community. All the clothing is manufactured ethically in Australia with a quality guarantee on products or your money back. In addition to their brand, the store and site stock carefully-selected pieces from other brands that also flatter the leggy lasses including Religion, Kaido, Love & Lies, and Leoni.

Tall Poppy also supports the local community with 10% of all profits will going towards supporting Asylum seekers settling in Australia. Cathy has worked as a volunteer for an English Language program for Asylum seekers that helps children learning English.

The launch of the brand was lively and full of some of the most friendly and interesting people one could meet. From people in music publishing and DJs who had become psychologists — to the models showing off the fabulous clothing collection as they mingled with the crowd in a warehouse space in the back streets of Collingwood. It was a perfect night for a launch of spring and summer clothing for Tall Poppy.
