Fashion + Aid 2016 launch party at Bond Melbourne

Fashion + Aid is one of the premier highlights on Melbourne’s events calendar and their 2016 main event is just around the corner on September 10th at Crown Palladium. Fashion + Aid works on the premise of providing signature events that combine on-trend fashions, the music industry’s most respected DJs, and the hottest crowds — all while raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation and Fight Cancer Foundation.

On Tuesday night The Plus Ones were invited to the media launch at Bond Melbourne. Bond has recently undergone a majestic renovation to stake the claim of Melbourne’s most sophisticated venue, and it did not disappoint on the night. A combination of killer heels, celebrity vibes, and free-flowing champagne and Belvedere Vodka got the night started right. DJ Andy Murphy was on music duties as we arrived, providing the right tunes to ensure a full dance floor from the get-go.

Host of the night was none other then much-loved local funny man Dave Hughes, who will also be taking the reigns for the main event at Crown. The speeches followed with passionate thanks for all involved in making the big event happen.

After the speeches, my plus one and I had built up the Dutch courage to do some celebrity schmoozing, seeking out my favourite Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux to catch up on the latest Melbourne vs. Sydney housewives goss.

As we navigated the crowd, lots of delicious canapés were on offer. The Thai fish cake mini burgers and salmon cream tarts paired wonderfully with our Belvedere and tonics and fuelled our stomachs in time for some dance floor shenanigans. Emerson Sunday’s resident DJ Khanh Ong was next on the decks bringing his energetic style of house that really topped off the night’s festivities.

If the media launch was anything to go by, then the main event at Crown is sure to be a wild night. Fashion + Aid has been a total sellout in the past and there are only few tickets remaining. Don’t miss out on this chance to party for a great cause!
