When the media launch for Fashion + Aid comes around it marks the exciting beginning to the spring/summer event season. Bond Lounge in Melbourne’s CBD is the host of the annual warm-up event that holds the mantra ‘party with a purpose’.

The Plus Ones were invited down to Bond Lounge to get the word out that the next Fashion + Aid gala ball was just around the corner. The evening saw the best and brightest of the Melbourne fashion scene come together to prepare for the main event held at Crown Casino in September which is on track to be another sell-out.

Fashion + Aid this time around is combining forces with Harrolds, Melbourne’s home to the biggest international luxury brands under one roof. Together they produced a night of mischievous fun in the name of raising funds for children’s charities. The launch party was hosted by all-round funny guy Dave Hughes, who also MC’s the gala, and it was a pleasure to see him return after last year’s side splitting effort.

Bond Lounge sure brought it’s A-game over the course of the night, with champagne and martinis flowing aplenty and a fabulous spread of food. The level of service from the bar team was impressive and the ladies on the floor charmed us with their attentiveness.

As much as we never wanted the night to end, it was just a hint of what’s in store for us at Crown in September. If you want to join us make sure you grab one of the last remaining tickets before they disappear.
