Whitehart, Melbourne’s urban oasis, is excited to announce its 7th birthday bash this Saturday, 16 March. Since its inception, Whitehart has been a symbol of creativity, blending industrial aesthetics with vibrant murals, digital projections, and lush greenery.
The venue’s heavy industrial atmosphere is transformed into a warm and inviting space through the thoughtful integration of ferns mounted on the walls. Staghorn and elk-horn ferns have been carefully chosen, paying homage to the mystical “white hart” that inspired the bar’s name.
The festivities promise to be a memorable experience, featuring an eclectic lineup of entertainment. The Now Here This All-Star Band, a jazz ensemble led by Ed Moon and Monrxe’s captivating vocals, will take the stage with a fusion of funk-filled bass, percussive finesse, scorching guitar licks, keyboard and synth soundscapes, and mesmerising saxophone and trumpet performances.
Adding a modern twist to the traditional choir, the Halo Vocal Ensemble, directed by Liona Tatafu, will showcase transcendent performances from a diverse lineup of Melbourne artists. Their recent stint at the National Gallery Victoria has only heightened the anticipation for their collaborative and collective space.
The celebration will continue with DJ sets from Lady Erica, Australia’s first lady of garage, grime, and bass, along with Melbourne favourites Taijae and Carl Os.
The night will be further elevated with a Starward Whisky Speakeasy-style Pop-up bar with a modern twist. The ambiance will be dark and moody, creating an intimate atmosphere. Step into the secret world of the Starward Whisky pop-up bar and indulge in a range of Starward drinks, including slushies and highballs.
The main bar will also be offering $7 cocktails until sold out, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. Additionally, guests can indulge in delicious pizzas from +39 Pizzeria, where the pizza dough is fine and puffed by a roaring pizza oven, providing the perfect base for combinations such as Diavola, Margherita, Parmigiana. Pizza service begins at 5 pm with limited availability.
To add a visual feast to the celebration, projections by Kurious Kat will illuminate the space, creating an immersive experience for attendees.
Join the Whitehart crew from 4pm this Saturday, 16 March, to toast to seven years of pushing boundaries and creating memories in the heart of Melbourne.
