The Plus Ones team are excited to announce that The NBA Exhibition will be bouncing into Melbourne from 3 April. It’s an interactive, NBA-themed fan experience showcasing the lifestyle, culture and history of the NBA.
The NBA Exhibition provides fans of all ages with a variety of touchpoints to interact with the NBA. Leveraging the NBA’s rich history and current generation of players, it takes fans on a journey of discovery across 20 themed sections where fans have the opportunity to participate in customised activations, including virtual and augmented reality experiences, photos with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, and more.
Upon entering the 1,100 square metre venue, fans are immersed in a multi-sensory experience where they can test their basketball skills, measure their vertical jump and reflexes, showcase their shooting skills.
Highlights include an augmented reality photo booth offering guests the opportunity to take their photo with NBA players, the “Slam Dunk Selfie” where visitors can pose to get a photo of them in dunking motion, “Measure Up!” featuring shoe and handprints of NBA players past and present, and virtual reality booths to experience NBA highlights through VR goggles.
The exhibition also features a dedicated section showcasing current and former NBA players from Australia, as well as original artwork by Australian and First Nations artists that was originally commissioned for NBA Gallery, a pop-up exhibit in Sydney in 2022.
The Plus Ones team can’t wait to check it out, and we will be sure to give you the lowdown on our experience when it opens next month.
