Become a Student of Spells and Potions at The Wizard’s Den

Calling all aspiring witches, wizards, Harry Potter fans and mixologists alike…put your potion mixing skills to the test in a fun (and tasty) way at the Wizard’s Den.

Part theatre show, part escape room, part cocktail making class, The Wizard’s Den is Melbourne’s newest, and most unique interactive experience.

Become a student of sassy head witch Mortica Le Mort as she teaches you her boozy potion making secrets and sends you on a mission to collect the ingredients for your potion. You must solve a series of riddles leading to strategically placed ingredients which get mixed in a mysterious bubbly cauldron!

Walking into the Wizard’s Den is like entering a secret room at Hogwarts. Cryptic messages and potion recipes are scribed on blackboards, bookshelves cluttered with kitsch figurines, jars of bugs and skulls line the walls, and medicinal herbs dangle from the ceiling.

We didn’t know quite what to expect for the evening. It was full of laughs and drama as Mortica Le Mort and her wizard colleagues plotted a grand scheme to kill the evil headmistress of the school (with our help, of course).

The night ended with a dramatic poisoning (spoiler alert) and a celebratory blackberry spritz style cocktail.

If you’re looking for a unique and immersive experience In Melbourne you must attend the Wizards Den. Tickets are $40 and include 2 x magical and mystical cocktails (curated by Melbourne’s top mixologists). The experience runs at the Motley Bauhaus in Carlton through 24 July and you can purchase tickets here.
