Sip Into Margarita Bliss: Cointreau x Hecho en Mexico

February in Melbourne just got a whole lot zestier. The Plus Ones were fortunate to be part of the exclusive launch event at Hecho en Mexico in Fitzroy. The iconic French Orange liqueur, Cointreau, joined forces with Hecho en Mexico to celebrate the upcoming Margarita Day on 22 February in style.

At the heart of the celebration is the offer of $15 Margaritas, available from 15 to 29 February, allowing patrons to revel in the delicious fusion of Cointreau and Hecho en Mexico.

This exclusive invitation granted us the pleasure of trying three delightful Margaritas and indulging in some mouthwatering Mexican bites. Drawing inspiration from the origins of the Margarita, crafted by Dallas socialite Margarita Sames in 1948 during her Acapulco vacation, this celebration pays homage to 75 years of this beloved cocktail.

Cointreau, with its illustrious history dating back to 1849 in Angers, France, played a central role in our tasting experience. Distilled with a harmonious blend of sweet and bitter orange peel, Cointreau added a distinctive flavour to the Margaritas, transforming each sip into a journey through the vibrant heart of Mexican flavor.

Hecho en Mexico, known for its commitment to authenticity and quality, provided the perfect setting for this extravaganza. Enthusiasts can choose from Classic, Passionfruit, or Mango Margaritas at any of Hecho en Mexico’s 18 vibrant locations across Victoria.

Hecho en Mexico invites everyone to join in the $15 Margarita celebration, ensuring that the Margarita legacy lives on with zest and flair. Cheers to the Margarita, and to the delightful blend of Cointreau and Hecho en Mexico that makes every sip a celebration!
