Solarace By Chef David Winter Menu Tasting – A Sensory Experience

Foodie lovers in need of a winter pick-me-up, look no further than Solarace By Chef David’s Winter Menu – it’s a full body sensory journey that will be sure to delight.

Walking into Solarace is an experience. Guests are greeted by a funky exposed concrete entryway with a mantra in neon lights scribed across the wall. A maze of red neon lights give way to a dimly lit, intimate dining room graced with industrial décor, warm woods, and traditional artefacts.

A solar galactic themed animation plays on the wall opposite the bar, projecting vibrant red and orange hues throughout the venue.

Similar to the venue décor, Solarace’s winter menu is bold and unexpected. Curated by MasterChef Pete Campbell, the seasonal offering combines unsuspecting ingredients to create the ultimate Asian Fusion dining experience. The menu features six courses with the option to select between the premium Solar Set or the standard Lunar Set.

We had the opportunity to taste both, and they were equally impressive!

Think Frost Cherry Foie Gras – your traditional foie gras with a zesty cherry balsamic coating, a croissant delicately crafted from thinly sliced butternut pumpkin, and more traditional dishes like Duck (done two ways), Abalone Tempura, and Slow Braised Lamb Shoulder.

The highlight of the evening was the Atlas Truffle Wagyu. Slices of M9 wagyu delivered atop a sizzling mini charcoal hibachi, for guests to grill to their own perfection, served with a range of dipping sauces and Tasmanian black truffle.

Each dish was presented perfectly with exquisite garnishes and fine detail, creating a truly memorable gastronomic journey and dining experience for all the senses.

The winter menu is on offer every night through September and starts from $150 for six courses.
