Last Wednesday The Plus Ones were invited down to the re-launch of one of Melbourne’s most buzzing beer-halls, The Hof Downtown. In case you didn’t know, The Hof Downtown is the docklands offspring of the legendary Hofbrauhaus CBD, and it’s just returned fresh from a full refurbishment in time for the warmer months.
The interior is fresh and inviting, and the menu reflects some of the old favourites, alongside some innovative new additions. The schnitzel was crisp, and the pretzels were making me thirsty! Lucky for my plus one and I there was a wide range of beers on tap that we slowly worked though.
Our host of the night was none other than local Instagram Foodie Lee Chan. Lee is the queen of what’s hot in the Melbourne hospitality scene through her ‘Cravings’ program alongside her popular Insta account. Lee warmly welcomed us all and gave us a sneak peek into her latest ‘Cravings’ episode featuring The Hof Downtown.
The Hof Downtown can cater for everything from after work drinks, sit down dinner or functions in their loft space upstairs, and it’s just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. Make sure to check it out soon as it’s sure to be a hit this summer!
