When you get an email asking if you want to go to a male underwear launch for Daily Jocks, you can’t help but feel like you have the best job in the world. Sipping on vodka cranberries while perving on ripped guys in g-strings — does life get any better then this?
Haven’t heard of Daily Jocks? Daily Jocks is the the brainchild of entrepreneur Nicholas Egonidis, which started as a Facebook page and turned into a global enterprise shipping over 10,000 items a month. Nicholas began Daily Jocks as a blog to share the latest trends in underwear. He then branched into an online service delivering the hottest gear out to his loyal base of customers on a monthly subscription bases.
The idea behind the store is giving people the chance to come in and experience a selection of their stock first hand, in person. The store is located on High Street Prahran, next to the uber-stylish nightclub 161. Nicolas mentioned some late morning weary-eyed clubbers have ventured into the store to enjoy the pumping music after exiting the club.
What I love best about the Daily Jocks store is that the brands they carry are ones I would have to mostly ship in from the States at high prices. The store is able to offer the international recommended retail price, rather then the Aussie tax we always seem to cop. Everything is on offer, from g-strings to briefs and everything in between to suit all tastes for the modern dude.
The opening night was lots of fun, with the highlight being getting to see the number-one trends for each state. Victorians were adventurous with colour which was surprising for the ‘black is the new black’ state. The NT surprised as all with a tendency for being on the more sexy, stringy side of things.
The Daily Jocks concept store is now open to the public, so head on down to High Street Prahran next time you’re on Chapel. They also stock a great range of sports wear for all you sexy gym bunnies just in time for summer.
