Wow! Is all I can say about this event…just wow! Located at 4 Railway Place, Richmond, in what is usually a warehouse — no, an abandoned warehouse to add to the allure — the Brown Brothers team trucked in two tonnes of sand and turned an eyesore into the coolest pop-up in Melbourne.
The Summer of Prosecco lasted for just three days (why not the whole summer?!) and showcased a range of vintages from the company. But really it was all about the setup. Words can’t really justify the scene, but tropical-bar-island-getaway-in-the-heart-of-Richmond comes close.
The event attracted Melbourne’s cool crowd, but the vibe made it picnic style friendly. I don’t know what was in the water (Prosecco) but everyone there seemed to want to chat to each other. It might have had something to do with the sand… It was entertaining to see the girls kick off their high heels and switch to Brown Brothers embossed thongs and swan the night away.
Prosecco flowed freely (or at least a steal at $5 a pop) and the sand DJ kept people well entertained. The sand DJ? Yep, sand DJ…
Needless to say, this event was definitely a highlight of the year to date!
