Bourbon, bull riding, and live country tunes— The Yellowstone Bourbon Experience at Moon Dog Wild West delivered a night of pure Americana fun in the heart of Melbourne.
Last night, bourbon enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike gathered at Moon Dog Wild West for the Yellowstone Bourbon Experience. Set against the vibrant backdrop of an American-themed brewery, the event was a celebration of bourbon, live country tunes, and Southern-inspired bites.
The stars of the evening were the four bespoke bourbon cocktails crafted just for the event. My personal favourite was the Espresso Bourbon-tini. The smooth bourbon and bold espresso made for a perfectly balanced cocktail—strong, not too sweet, and definitely a sipper to savour. Other highlights included the Bourbon Bacon Bloody Mary (can you get any more American than that?!), the refreshing Mint Melon Smash, and the Harvest Stir, which was a savoury mix of bourbon, pear nectar, fig jam, and cinnamon.
Paired with these expertly crafted drinks were tasty American comfort food bites like chorizo croquettes, mushroom and beef sliders, and mini tacos. The food kept the crowd fuelled, but the real fun was the atmosphere. Moon Dog Wild West’s lively vibe, mechanical bull, and live country created the perfect setting transporting visitors to an all-American wild west bar.
At just $40 a ticket, the event was excellent value with three hours of bottomless cocktails, nibbles, and live entertainment.
