Cabaret with a Twist: Madame Martha’s Hush Cabaret at Melbourne Fringe 2024

Step into the world of Parisian glamour, where the unexpected meets the extraordinary—Madame Martha’s Hush Cabaret is this year’s Melbourne Fringe show that you don’t want to miss! Playing at the iconic Speakeasy Theatre until October 19, this cabaret offers a quirky, high-energy mix of drag, burlesque, and music that will keep you on your toes (and laughing) all night.

The three artists—Jens Radda, Iva Rosebud, and Meg Hickey—bring a powerful synergy to the stage. Their chemistry is infectious, delivering moments of comedic brilliance that had the audience roaring with laughter. Each performer stands out in their own right: Jens dazzles with drag divadom, Iva brings sultry charm, and Meg’s vocal prowess adds a rich layer to the show. The talent here is undeniable, and the live singing from Meg Hickey is particularly stunning.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the show throws in a surprise that catches you off guard, keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout the entire performance.

Featuring covers of prominent artists —Edith Piaf, Florence & The Machine, Billie Eilish — and singing in three different languages, this vaudeville-inspired show combines classic cabaret vibes with a contemporary twist.

Tickets are $32 and the show runs at the Speakeasy Theatre through October 19, 2024.
