Hot winter’s night out with Burn The Floor featuring Mitch Tambo at The Palms

The show is an inspired mix, seeing indigenous cultural icon Mitch Tambo(with two ATSI dancers and vocalist wife Voice of Lele) performing alongside energetic live music and a group of the hottest dancers you’re ever likely to see. The cast exude sex appeal and with costuming to make you drool, your eyes will light up to the colour and movement.

The Burn The Floor enterprise is famed for getting you singing and clapping along as your temperature is raised to match the exuberance of the stars on stage whose kinesthetic verve palpably cascades into the audience. With their renown technical excellence and bravura showmanship, the team leave nothing offstage and are there just for your entertainment!

Years of experience behind all cohorts means you are in expert hands as they take you on a magic carpet ride of rhythm and beats, passion and expression through the Australian songbook and country, opening with a special tour through First Nations’ culture led by Tamworth boy, Mitch. 

Australia’s Got Talent and Eurovision heats alumni, a Sony recording artist, and cultural ambassador, Mitch’s performance artistry is deeply personal and educational, sharing his People’s stories and language with the broader community.

Supported by two male cultural artists through dance storytelling, Mitch is a charismatic, heartfelt total performer who wears his passion on his sleeve and commitment to social causes. His recount of his past, connection to Country, and his ancestors is a truly unique and has to be witnessed live- as well as his superbly colourful costumes, dance boots and cultural headdress. His wife, Voice of Lele, an experienced performer in her own right, has a strong rich voice and stage presence and you will delight in her vocal accompaniment throughout the show. 

The show presents an evening of dynamic dance moves with an Australian theme, both indigenous and pop culture. The setlist includes Aussie classics such as Power And The Passion, Never Tear Us Apart, Highway to Hell, Stayin Alive, Khe Sanh, Chandelier, Kids, Absolutely Everybody woven through with Tambo’s original songs. A highlight is the ensemble’s presentation of You’re The Voice sung by Tambo in his native Gamilaraay (as seen performed alongside John Farnham at The Fire Fight Australia concert, 2020). This rousing anthem is electrifying sung in language and is a once in a lifetime treat to witness in person that is not to be missed- it’s the kind of thing you will tell your grandkids about. 

The Burn The Floor band are an added level of perfection delivering live piano, percussion, guitar, drums, vocals and verve and deliver the songs with emotion that touches us, experienced in the moment.
