Chandon S is angling to become the emblematic drink of Spring and fittingly the Chandon team had a spring-time activation ‘Chandon S Chic Easy‘ by the St Kilda shoreline. First things first, Chandon S is the Chandon winery’s newest wine and uses the traditional champagne making process with a twist of orange.
On the day, the Chandon team’s St Kilda activation provided for an hour and a half of fun. Picture a speak easy tram car, artisan bread making session and pétanque on the lawn.
As we arrived, we were whisked (after a couple if Chandons) into a traditional French boulangerie workshop, for a hands on artisanal bread making session. Fittingly, we were also greeted to a Chandon by our bread-making boards. Helpful hint, if you ever get to participate in a bread making session, don’t stuff your bread with cardamom…
Post-bread, Chandon’s mixologists hosted a cocktail making masterclass in the tramcar speakeasy where we learned how to create the Perfect Serve. The team taught us that the best way to enjoy Chandon S is over ice with a hit of orange. I enjoyed spritzing my Chandon fairly vigorously with the super chic orange spritzing bottles. Needless to say, our time in the tramcar speakeasy was Chandon drenched.
By this time, we were getting a little peckish and as if on queue, our artisanal bread was ready. Pickles, pate, candied orange bitters and freshly baked bread. This made the lawn session just delightful as did our leisurely game of pétanque with our new-found friends.
Unfortunately the activation was on for a limited time. If you have the chance to grab a Chandon S in the sun this spring, I highly recommend it.
