On my particular night that sin was ‘sloth’, regarded as one of the hardest to cover in a comedic style, and especially unusual to find interesting stories from. While a large portion of the material presented fell more into the overall category of ‘lust’, it was interesting to see a mix of material that was tweaked to fit the parameters, or made up especially for the occasion.
The wonderful thing about such a show is the unpredictability of what you’re about to witness. A shout-out is a necessity to Jon Bennett (who’s performing at It’s Rabbit Night!) as the host of these nights. His welcome and engaging presence from beginning to end, as well as his adaptive segues between such a bizarre variety of both humour and thought-provoking tales of truth, were talented and well-honed. It was clear that whatever acts may generate from such a theme were as much of a mystery to him as it was to the audience, adding to the overall feel of creation and potential chaos without ever losing cohesion of the show as a whole.
The end vibe represented how unique each show must be from one to the next, which is the beauty if this type of random compilation, and very fitting for a late-night show. At 11pm, this is a great way to cap off a night of comedy, and is sure to be a unique experience that only those present would be able to appreciate.
