Missy is OBSESSED with coffee. Like many of us Melburnians, Missy’s schedule revolves around finding the perfect latte and her daily morning jaunt to a local cafe down the street.
In her fringe performance, ‘Love, Loss and Lattes’ Missy takes us on the journey of a true coffee lover through life’s ups downs, and everything in between through the use of circus and drama.
For many of us, our relationship with coffee is a life-long one. One that evolves over time and adapts to who we become. Missy’s journey began as a late night uni student downing instant coffee as a study aid, and evolved to a more sophisticated skinny latte with two sugars, and eventually a small full cream latte. No frills, just good, hot, coffee.
A fusion of drama and circus, Missy kept the audience entertained with pole dancing, performance on the silks and a closing lyra act, all with her cup of joe not far away.
I was impressed with her skills to do an entire pole dancing routine whilst balancing a coffee mug on her feet, arms and head.
Missy’s act was creatively put together, combining a theme that many love – coffee – with self-expression through dance and circus.
