Take one of Melbourne’s most beautiful arcades, add an iconic Melbourne fashion brand, throw a massive launch party. That’s what Kuwaii did for their second Melbourne location, a store in Cathedral Arcade off of Swanston and Flinders Lane.
The launch party was packed — I jostled my way past hordes of black-clad Melburnians out in force for their first glimpse of Kuwaii’s latest venture. The crowd was so huge it spilled out into Cathedral Arcade itself, everyone with bottles of Quiet Deeds Pale Ale and Kopparberg cider in hand.

I’ll definitely be making my way in for a visit the next time I wander past Cathedral Arcade, and I recommend you do as well. Designer Kristy Barber’s clothes are to die for — and trying them on in person is lightyears beyond buying online. (Although that’s good, too.)
