The Glendronach is bringing a little slice of the Scottish Highlands to Sydney this weekend (and whisky lovers won’t want to miss it).
To celebrate 200 years of The Glendronach, the iconic Highland distillery is transforming Ace Hotel Sydney into an immersive whisky experience from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July.
Forget everything you think you know about a traditional whisky tasting. The Glendronach Presents: An Ode to The Highlands is part hidden whisky bar, part sensory foraging trail, inviting guests to explore the flavours, aromas and landscapes that have shaped the brand for two centuries.
Your journey begins inside Highlands House, where you’re welcomed with a cocktail crafted using The Glendronach‘s signature 12-Year-Old Scotch before stepping into four immersive chapters inspired by the distillery’s Masters Anthology Collection.
Wander through moss-covered landscapes and Highland soundscapes as you forage for your first dram in Ode to the Valley, before moving into Ode to the Embers, where a bespoke food pairing by Ace Hotel, celebrates smoky flavours designed to complement the richness of The Glendronach. The experience continues with Ode to the Dark, an immersive scent-led installation featuring a custom fragrance by Scottish perfumers JORUM STUDIO, before ending with one final hidden discovery, a whisky-infused chocolate (with smoky, creamy cheesecake hints!)
Once you’ve completed the trail, you can settle back into Highlands House where you can purchase whisky flights, signature cocktails like the Bramble Sour and enjoy elevated bar snacks inspired by the Highlands.
