There’s something about that quiet window that feels worth protecting.
Nutella understands this — or at least, its new limited-edition Good Morning collection suggests it does.
For those of us who grew up in the 90s, Nutella is basically a core memory. It was the thing on your toast before school, the reward after sport, the jar you’d sneak a spoon into before anyone noticed. It felt indulgent in a way that jam simply didn’t. Now, decades later, it’s still sitting in Australian pantries — made right here in Lithgow, NSW, where it’s been produced for over 50 years.
The new collection leans into that sense of place. Collaborating with Australian artist Dave Homer, Nutella has given its iconic jar a makeover: four bold illustrations capturing the different ways mornings unfold across Australia and New Zealand — coastal horizons, city skylines, snowy peaks, outback stillness. The designs are genuinely beautiful, and I’m already planning to grab a few as gifts for friends, and for the tourists in my life who need a proper Australian souvenir that isn’t a fridge magnet.
To round it out, Nutella has dropped two breakfast recipes worth trying on a slow winter morning: Tropical Overnight Breakfast Oats with Nutella and a Brekkie Bread Pudding with Nutella. The sort of thing you make when you’re back from the beach, wrapped in a towel, in no rush whatsoever.
