A Night with Aesop: Say Hello to Solais Replenishing Hand Serum.

A Night with Aesop: Say Hello to Solais Replenishing Hand Serum.

I’ve always loved hands.

The way they tell a story before a person even speaks. How they quietly reveal a life, or the way someone has held, carried, comforted.

How they become a kind of map of who we were, who we are and who we’re still becoming. Someone we haven’t met yet.

Some hands carry delicate, fragmented lines that resemble pathways. Quiet traces of a life lived, held and experienced.

Others are tougher. Weathered by work, by craft and repetition. Hands that have built things. Held on tightly. Moved through life with purpose.

Then there are gentle hands. The ones that offer comfort instinctively, without question. The kind that guide us, soothe us, lead us somewhere imaginary for a little while.

Hands are our tools, yes, however, they’re also extensions of memory, intimacy and care. They allow us to hold, to express, to nurture, to reach for one another.

Last night, I was invited to celebrate the launch of Aesop’s Solais Replenishing Hand Serum, a product born from the idea that perhaps our hands deserve the same rituals we so carefully reserve for our faces and necks.

Tucked away and ushered into a lift, I floated out to what felt like an Aesop daydream. A striking installation of sculptural hands lined the entranceway, while contemporary flamenco dancers moved through the space with fluidity and precision. Their expressive gestures echoing the artistry and intentionality woven into the brand itself.

Welcomed with wine and hand treatments experienced either beside the basin or inside delicate, curtained rooms (I happily indulged in both). It was here, I was introduced to Aesop’s new Solais Replenishing Hand Serum through slow, grounding rituals that moved deliberately from wrist to fingertip.

At the heart of the formulation are ingredients such as Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Neroli Blossom and Dandelion Root, allowing you to experience skin restoration in the way Aesop does best.

Warm towels, softened skin, their beloved hand balm and of course the star of the show – their Solais formulation – that left our hands feeling nourished and quietly restored. It was a reminder that hands carry us through almost every moment of our lives. Perhaps they deserve a little more reverence, too.
