A Sweet Day Out – The Kinder Easter Trail at Sydney Zoo

The Plus Ones were invited along to the Kinder Easter Trail at Sydney Zoo and we couldn’t have asked for a better day — blue skies, warm sun, and a hint of that early autumn crispness in the air. Although the event drew a big crowd (as you’d expect on a sunny Saturday), the vibe was festive and full of joy.

The special, one-day-only event was a unique Easter celebration by Kinder Chocolate in partnership with Sydney Zoo, and it brought together everything you could want in a family day out: animals, chocolate, and a playful Easter adventure.

Armed with our Kinder Trail ‘passport’, we set off on an adventure around the zoo, stopping at different checkpoints to collect stamps. It added such a fun twist to the usual zoo visit — part scavenger hunt, part chocolate-fueled mission. My son was absolutely thrilled, not just with the Easter fun, but also by the real stars of the day: the elephants, koalas, lions, and even dinosaurs (the animatronic kind, of course).

The experience was beautifully set up for families — plenty of space to roam, engaging touch-points, and a clear route that helped guide us through the zoo’s many highlights. There were smiles all around as kids proudly showed off their completed passports, and the reward at the end was well worth the journey: a visit to the Kinder Zone where we picked up a delightful bag full of Kinder chocolates and goodies. My son’s eyes lit up at the sight of it (to be fair, mine did too).

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the classic Kinder Surprise or new to their Easter collection, the range this year is seriously impressive. From cute chocolate bunnies to surprise-filled Maxi Eggs featuring Marvel and Barbie, there’s something to delight every kind of kid — and kid at heart.

All in all, the Kinder Easter Trail was a joyful and memorable way to celebrate Easter with family and friends. A brilliant collaboration between Kinder and Sydney Zoo, and an event I hope becomes a regular Easter tradition.

The Kinder Easter range is now available from Coles, Woolworths, or your local supermarket. For more information, visit the Kinder website.
