International Women’s Day at Cork & Canvas Sydney

Sip, sip, hooray! This year The Plus Ones spent International Women’s Day getting creative over paint and champagne.

Cork & Canvas is Australia’s first dedicated ‘paint and sip’ studio: a refreshing concept that allows up to 30 guests to experience a creative day or night in Sydney; sipping on wine, bubbles or beer while painting on a canvas — without needing prior experience.

Our 3-hour art class was guided by a charming (and patient) professional, who broke down the masterpiece in simple and easy steps to follow. We painted an ethereal flower goddess; and lucky for us — all her outlines were pre-drawn.

By having all palettes and paints ready to go, the Cork & Canvas team keep things fun and interesting — so you can just concentrate on not dipping your brush into your wine glass!

We Sydney-siders are always seeking fun and different things to do with our friends. Cork and Canvas offers just that: a delightful, and strangely therapeutic activity to enjoy with colleagues or mates. The experience will leave you feeling giddy with pride and accomplishment, and maybe just a tad bit tipsy.

You can bring your own choice of drinks and nibbles to the studio, and Cork & canvas supply all of the glassware. Between intervals, they also play lively music — you know, to get those creative juices flowing.

Cork & Canvas offer a whole new category in the Australian entertainment market, specifically, painting and sipping. Prior to migrating to Australia, Founder Melinda Janiszewski noticed the paint and sip concept hadn’t yet hit Australian shores, and thus the concept of Cork and Canvas was born. We’re really so glad she did — we love playing Picasso with a prosecco in hand.

Don’t miss their unique series of upcoming events.

Cork & Canvas are now offering public and corporate private events at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, Madame Tussaud’s Sydney, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Tower Eye with the new VIP Champainting ®  experience. For more information or to book, visit their Website.
