Six Tips to Incorporate Pinup Style Into Your Everyday Wardrobe

Pinup style looks to the past for inspiration, but the intricate hairstyles and vintage fashion associated with this style can be a little daunting for some gals. So here are our six tips for anyone looking to incorporate a little pinup flair into their everyday wardrobe….

Get Your Florals On

Fun and flirty florals are a great retro staple and they never go out of style. A beautiful floral dress or skirt will turn heads, or you could pop a colourful floral accessory in your hair. Most reproduction clothing companies have their own staple floral dress, which is always a worthwhile wardrobe addition.

Pop on Some Red Lippy

Any outfit can go from blah to pinup goddess with a swipe of vibrant red lipstick. It’s just a law of the universe. You will feel powerful and sexy with this timeless look. Just remember to blot, blot, blot, and always carry a tube in your bag to re-apply throughout the day.

Curl Your Hair in a Vintage Direction

Most modern women curl their hair away from their face, and yes, this looks bomb, but a sneaky way to add a little vintage flair with minimal effort is to curl your hair towards your face, brushing the curls out and simply pinning your hair behind the ear on one side.

Winged Eyeliner

Winged eyeliner is another great way to add a little retro flair to your makeup look. Although this takes a little time to perfect, once you do, you will love how much a simple flick of eyeliner will tie your pinup look together.

Accentuate That Waist

If you got it, flaunt it! Wearing high-waisted trousers, a fit-and-flare dress or grabbing a cute belt are great ways to accentuate your waist and give you that vintage bombshell silhouette.  Oh and it will make your boobs and butt look ah-mazing!

Team with the Theme

Find a colour featured in an item of clothing you’re wearing and go ahead and team your outfit with it. Spot a colour that is featured in the pattern or the embroidery, and match a belt, hair accessory, bag, or shoes with it to really tie your look together.
