The Good Food and Wine Show 2017

Once again, food and wine fanatics assembled at Sydney’s International Convention Centre for a weekend of cooking masterclasses, wine tastings and plenty of food samplings at the Good Food and Wine Show.

Once we arrived, we instantly headed for Cheese alley where we tried the most delicious cheeses, our favourite came from Udder Delightful. Their blue cheese was the right balance of strong and creamy, a must for a good cheese board, and their camembert was just as incredible.

We meandered through more stands stopping at the colourful Jomeis Fine Food to try their Mocha latte (the pink one obvs,) it was like a hot choc but even better and make from all natural ingredients so no guilt here!

Finally we spotted the wine section, hurrah! Endless stands of wines from a multitude of Australia and Internationally. Naked Bee Wines was a great new brand from New South Wales that was just so good, we had to buy a bottle of their orange honey blossom Chardonnay to take home with us.

Wine84, the premium french rose, had a super fun stand that made us feel like it was summer again. They even had Rodriguez the Flamingo as their mascot, he was definitely loving life with the endless rose he was drinking!

We finished up the day with an indulgent brownie from Milnes of Mudgee which was insanely tasty and a shot of The Plus Ones’ favourite, Mr Blacks cold brew, definitely one to have on the drinks trolley for the ultimate Espresso Martinis!

It was another great show for 2017, we can’t wait until the next one!
