Auvers Cafe Rhodes Sydney

Auvers Cafe – a quirky new spot in Rhodes

There’s a trendy new cafe in town and it’s fusing fine dining with your standard cafe menu. In the heart of Rhodes, the Auvres Cafe offers everything from mouth-watering food to refreshing drinks to satisfy any craving.

It also has a mini gallery with hand-crafted pieces for sale. Partners and owners Ron Chen and Leo Rong have created a space where art and food intertwine. The design is creative and innovative giving it a modern industrial feel. Dishing up delicious food and providing quality service, the cafe has been a success with locals.

The diverse, yet simple, menu gives those with a sweet or savoury tooth a range of dishes to choose from such as the green tea matcha pancakes or the slow-cooked beef cheek with carrot puree.

A must-try dish is the Asian inspired cured Yuzu Soy Salmon, caviar, pomegranate, green peas, Yuzu gel, pickled radish and crispy rice paper.

A variety of their drinks makes the casual eatery one to put on the list. If you’re looking for the caffeine hit with a sweet blend, look no further than the green tea latte. Its smooth milky texture and strong green tea taste makes it a perfect combination for any pallet.

Coffee enthusiasts can venture out and try the black sesame or taro latte, or even keep it simple and enjoy a single origin cappuccino. They offer a range of hangover-curing fresh juices, as well as homemade refreshing ice teas served with seasonal fruits.

Traditional Italian moist Nutella doughnuts and Ferrero Rocher gelato are available from Zippoli and are the perfect addition to a warm drink.

If you’re looking for well-flavored quality food and excellent service, then Auvers Cafe in Rhodes is the place to be.  Whether you’re brunching, lunching or looking for a finger-licking breakfast, Auvres caters to all and is worth the drive.

Personally, the green tea latte would be the reason why I would be coming back around a lot more often. What would be yours?
