Barangaroo breakfast #yoga: Sumo launch

It was with much excitement, and a little instagram-based inspiration, that my friend and I jumped at the chance to attend the launch of the new Sumo Barangaroo store hosted by #fitso superstar Pia Muehlenbeck on 16 February.

Going into this I had some level of yoga ability, zero tolerance of wet weather and a mighty wealth of enthusiasm to join the beautiful people of Sydney find their morning Vinyasa flow. Thankfully it was a gorgeous Sydney morning and the rain held off – and enthusiasm was all  I needed to feel very welcome and get the most out of out of a great practice.

The one and only Tashy Pinter was on hand to guide us yogis through the 30 minute practise, and doubled up as serious body inspiration to for those of us clinging onto slightly past-it summer bodies… Namaste to one and all.

After half an hour of gentle practise, we were generously advised we could keep our yoga mats (nobody in their right mind ever passes up a gorgeous freebie do they?) and follow the crew to the new Sumo at Barangaroo where we were treated to a healthy and nutritious quinoa & oat breakfast pot and delicious juices. Always one with ears that prick up at the mention of coffee, it didn’t go unnoticed when we were told our morning caffeine fix could be catered for too.. coffee in hand, work out done and all before 8.30am, we were fifty happy yogis.

Big thanks to the organisers Sumo, the beautiful Pia Muehlenbeck and Tashy Pinter for inviting Plus Ones to this gorgeous event. Do I follow a few Instagram accounts even more keenly than ever now I know they’re lovely girls? Of course I do.
