Winter Soiree at Cruise Bar

Like a broken tap and awash with puddles, you’d think the rain would seem to be a damper on a party so close to the sea. As luck would have it, it wasn’t the day after tomorrow, so the Cruise Bar’s official Winter Soiree was in full swing.

Tonight was a night to show appreciation for all the hard working managers, staff and everyone else related to helping make the Cruise bar what it is today. A two piece band was busting out acoustic covers from the likes of Pharell to Dragon and there was a range of canapes from the classic Spring Roll to Bao Buns and even mini Paellas. T

he bar was open and small groups littered the scene talking amongst themselves as the head manager of Cruise Bar got up and gave his thanks. Then a lady from Camp Quality gave an address for their Dineatmine promotion, where they ask people to host dinner parties to raise money for the charity, one which helps bring joy to sick kids and gives them an escape.

Once the proceedings had finished, we were lead upstairs where a DJ was playing, with a singer to accompany. The music fell into the background as my jaw dropped at the spread of deserts. Mini donuts, macaroons, brownies and tarts littered the table in such an expansive manner and such a well presented way.

I got lost in desert heaven for a while and went back downstairs to see the full band coming on strong. This is one event Cruise Bar should be completely proud of. Here’s to the Summer Soiree.
