Jaspar Hit the Road

British YouTubers Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee, or Jaspar as they’re referred to by their fans, are known online for making weekly videos where they prank each other, do amusing dares, vlog (video-blog) their day-to-day lives and make generally entertaining content on their respective channels. With over 5 million subscribers each on ThatcherJoe and dicasp, and over a billion total views they’ve become an international sensation.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the duo are coming down under to promote the release of their upcoming feature-length film Joe and Caspar Hit The Road, where they ditched their credit cards and travelled across Europe taking on odd jobs to earn enough money to last them the rest of the trip.

“My favorite profession was gondoliering. I managed to master it in a matter of hours, which I know is quite rare”, says Joe.

“Mine was making pizza”, says Caspar, “My coach was amazing and I made pizza in one of the original spots in Verona so I really enjoyed that”.

The pair are extremely excited to visit Australia, especially for their sold out live shows in Melbourne and Sydney this weekend where they’ll participate in Q&A’s and get up close and personal in exclusive meet and greets with fans.

“I’ve never been to Australia but I think it sounds like a crazy cool place to go. I’d love to see a koala bear!”, says Caspar.

Joe, on the other hand, has visited here on a gap year for six weeks before his YouTube days. “I learnt to surf there”, he says. “I’d like to go to the Great Ocean Road this time.”

The boys are looking forward to meeting the Australian fans this time around. “They seem so nice and laid back”, says Joe. “They are crazy and awesome. We have a crazy supportive audience around the world – they are just as awesome as everyone else”, adds Caspar.
