Melbourne is buzzing with the Australian Open set to begin this week! But who ever said tennis had to be a stuffy, serious sport?
Ballers Clubhouse in Melbourne is flipping the script on traditional tennis, transforming it into a neon-lit, high-energy spectacle. Their Glow-in-the-Dark Tennis experience is not just a game; it’s a full-blown neon party.
With a glowing cocktail in hand, my plus one and I got a sneak peak at all the action ahead of their launch this week.
Forget the hushed whispers and polite applause of a grand slam final.
At Ballers, the court is illuminated with vibrant neon lights, casting a psychedelic glow on everything from the tennis balls to the players themselves.
The air will be thick with excitement as friends and colleagues alike trade volleys under the electric sky (and excellent air conditioning – looking at you 40′ days!).
It’s tennis, but not as you know it.
Picture yourself, racquet in hand, dressed in your brightest neon gear, smashing serves against a backdrop of neon lights and great tunes.
But the fun doesn’t stop on the court. Ballers Clubhouse offers a range of other activities to keep you entertained, from glow-in-the-dark ping pong to a neon-lit ball pit (with over 100,000 neon balls!). Of course, every spin and smash will be illuminated.
And when you need a break from the action, you can grab a drink from the bar or indulge in some tasty food.
On our visit we sat down to sample some of the specialty offerings from glow in the dark cocktails (and mini trophy shots), to delicious platters of arancini and macaroons served on tennis racketts.
While you could come here on a very unique date, this venue really does cater well for big groups and corporate events. Where else would ‘Chad’ from accounting and your top execs be able to battle it out on the court?
Baller’s Clubhouse once again holds it’s position as Australia’s most unique sports and activities bar, perfect for a Grand Slam corporate dinner with a twist, or a specialty tennis themed experience for a group of mates.
So, whether you’re a seasoned tennis player or a complete novice, Glow-in-the-Dark Tennis at Ballers Clubhouse is an experience not to be missed.
