With the festive season creeping closer, there’s one holiday tradition that we truly miss as adults: the classic advent calendar.

That’s why when we heard of a brand new advent calendar designed for adults by South Australia’s own Millon Wines, we knew we just had to try it!
Millon Wines has always done things a little differently; from VR immersive wine tours at home, to curated playlists on Spotify that go with all their core range.
This time though they have truly outdone themselves with their 12 Nights of Wine advent calendar.
This isn’t just a simple countdown to Christmas; it’s a curated journey through the winery’s finest offerings with a delightful surprise behind each door.
The hefty calendar features a diverse range of wines, from elegant whites to robust reds. And the most exciting part is you never know what you’ll be getting next.
Under one of the 12 ‘doors’ you could be getting a delicious white, or a deep rich red. What you’re guaranteed to find though is some of the wineries top sellers.
Start with bottle #1 on December 13th and enjoy one each night till Christmas Eve! Or, start on December 1st and enjoy a bottle every other night—just remember to save bottle #12 for a festive Christmas Day toast!
Some of the delicious bottles you’ll find could include the Impressionist Pinot Grigio, with its crisp citrus notes – this is is the perfect aperitif that we can’t wait to crack into on a hot Aussie day.
For red wine lovers, the Estate Shiraz is a bold and complex wine that pairs well with grilled meats or a nice rich pudding.
One of the standout wines in the calendar is the Eden Valley Botrytis Riesling, a luscious dessert wine with honeyed notes. This is the perfect way to end a meal or enjoy a sweet treat or a cheese platter with fruit.
