The Stolen Gem, Melbourne’s newest cocktail rooftop bar, offers jaw-dropping city views, and a unique and premium cocktail offering, making it a must visit for your 2022 Summer bucket list.

Previously an events space, founder Matt Newman (The Stolen Gem, The Budgie) decided to open the eight-floor gem of a venue to the public for all to enjoy.

The cocktail menu places emphasis on home grown Aussie spirits with the likes of Jimmy Rum, Echucha Distillery, Rocky Jones Gin, Baxter Vodka, and others, all complimented with seasonal foraged botanicals from Yarra Valley’s Spurrell Foraging.

Cocktail lovers will be delighted with the interesting and diverse menu sporting favourite classics and unique masterpieces developed by the team at The Stolen Gem.

The Pavlova Spritz is the perfect antidote for a hot Melbourne afternoon crafted with Nosferatu PavlovaGin, strawberry & vanilla bean syrup and passionfruit liqueur.

For those with a sweet tooth, the S’More Fashioned may be of interest. Made with Tassie smoked vodka, vanilla, and chocolate bitters, topped with a toasted marshmallow garnish.

My personal pick was the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Espresso; a Christmassy twist on the traditional espresso martini with Baxter Vodka, brown sugar, cinnamon, and Coffee For The People cold drip. Yum.

If all of this talk of cocktails is making you feel peckish, fear not. The Stolen Gem has a sushi collaboration with UMINONO, offering Instagram worthy sushi boxes accompanied with mini dropper bottles of soy sauce.

Spend the afternoon indulging your senses in an exquisite cocktail adventure whilst soaking up unobstructed views of Bourke Street and the old General Post Office building. The Stolen Gem launches to the public on 17 February, 2022 and bookings can be made here.
