Have you ever heard of a pho pie? Didn’t think so. Indulge your taste buds (and try the infamous pho pie) in the ultimate un-pho-gettable feast. Meet The Pho’kers – a celebration of International Pho Day – is this Saturday, December 12 and you don’t want to miss it.
Go Pho Yo’self Ngoc and Toni Le have joined forces with Channel 7’s Plate of Origin duo Duncan Lu and Thanh Truong to help Melbourne celebrate International Pho Day on Saturday, 12thDecember 2020.
The “Meet the Pho’kers” event is a one day only pop-up featuring signature dishes such as Mumma’s MSG-free pho, Go Pho Yo’self’s new summer pho-inspired rolls and the Team Vietnam famous pho pie.
$49 gets you a plate of summer rice paper rolls, pho noodle soup or pho pie, a Vietnamese dessert and two alcoholic beverages.
Go Pho Yo’self is the COVID baby of Toni Le, owner of Le Will Café and Spa du Jour and Ngoc Le from Dessert Parlour. The recipes? They got it from their mama – passed down from the matriarchs of both Le families, a Heat & Eat, ready-to-assemble Noodle Kit that is delivered contactless around Melbourne.
The brand represents the interesting dichotomy of both Le’s, despite the tongue-in-cheek name as well as love of puns & bold colours, the brand is serious in terms of quality, sustainability and health.
The recipes are MSG free and still pho’king delicious! Utilising local and premium ingredients – the menu started off with the basics – Chicken and Beef Pho, expanding to Vegan, Bun Bo Hue and now focusing on the different dietaries such as gluten-free, keto and fructose friendly options.
With a focus on sustainability, packaging has been sourced to not only be aesthetic but also recyclable and as it is a strong part of their ethos, the business tries to reduce food or packaging wastage wherever possible. Using the pre-order business model, they only make food to order therefore reducing potential wastage.
Tickets are $49-55 per person which includes summer rolls, a Vietnamese inspired dessert, two alcoholic beverages and a choice of a pho or pie. Vegan options are available, additional food & drink
including Vietnamese inspired cocktails can be ordered on the day.
Seatings at 3pm, 5:30pm and 8pm – indoor and outdoor sitting available. Enjoy RNB tunes, games & giveaways throughout the day. Book your tickets here and get an exclusive Plus Ones discount!
