Le Petit Chef: The Ultimate Dining Experience

Meet the world’s tiniest chef. Measuring up at just 58mm tall, Le Petit Chef has arrived in Melbourne with a mouth-watering menu and a new dining adventure unlike one Melbourne has ever seen.

La Petit Chef is an interactive dining experience combining 3D projections with fine dining. The night follows the story of Le Petit Chef preparing a three-course meal for his guests. It’s a unique fusion of art and food with a side of comedy.

The curtain (plate) opens with La Petit chef navigating a motorboat around diners’ plates in search of the perfect ingredients for his seafood bisque. The mini chef catches a lobster, octopus and mussel, and is mid-way through preparing the soup when he gets enthralled in a battle of chef vs. octopus, ending up in the stomach of a mussel. Try as he might, the poor little guy always has some dining mishap that lands him in the food, or worse.

The quality of food was on par with the entertainment. The kitchen at Cardigan Place Cellars did an exceptional job cooking the steak to perfection, and providing savoury, flavoursome dishes.

Created by the masterminds at Skullmapping in Belgium, Le Petit Chef has travelled around the world with stints in cities such as London, Stockholm, Dubai, and Berlin. Melbourne is the first city to welcome Le Petit Chef, with rumours that he may be coming to Sydney next.

Packed with surprise, excitement, and insanely delicious food, Le Petit Chef is an experience not to be missed!

Le Petit Chef is in Melbourne until the end of February with tickets at $190. Sessions run Wednesday to Sunday at Cardigan Place Cellars in Albert Park and you can grab you tickets here!
