The only thing better than brunch in Melbourne? Boozy brunch. The only thing better than boozy brunch? Being Served by the queen of hearts as you fall down a rabbit hole of bottomless cocktails. Yes, your boozy brunch dreams are now a reality! Madame Brussels and The Botanical have teamed up to create the ultimate Brunch Club – an Alice In Wonderland themed bottomless brunch.
The Botanical lounge was transformed into a garden party; lush greenery, fleeting rabbits, and an elaborate dessert table stacked high with colourful lollies and macaroons. Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts, White Rabbit and March Hare were all present. The Botanical waiters put on a show as they served us Chandon and Four Pillars Gin cocktails, dressed as the classic characters.
We ate our way through a delicious assortment of canapes; apple & rhubarb granola, potato & capsicum frittata, cauliflower arancini, BLT sliders, and mini mushroom pies, just to name a few. As a sweets lover the desserts were my favourite! Dark chocolate bar with torched marshmallow, choux bun with rainbow caramel, and endless tower of rainbow macaroons. Heaven.
After the feasting finished, a DJ took over, perfectly transitioning the garden party into a Sunday session, where the drinks continued to flow.
As a serious brunch enthusiast (let’s be honest, my schedule revolves around new café launches), the Alice In Wonderland Brunch was a definite standout and one of the most unique dining experience I’ve had.
It’s a rabbit hole well worth falling down, but make sure to cancel your afternoon plans, because Alice’s boozy wonderland might hold you captive.
