Eating in is the new black. Why even get out of bed when Deliveroo will bring divine sustenance from some of the best restaurants in your area to your door? Well, on this occasion we had to drag ourselves outside as the team were hosting a night to celebrate all that is Deliveroo. It wasn’t a hard ask as my plus one and I got to feast on tasty treats while DJs spun out club jams on the dance floor.
Gosh, was it really only a Wednesday?
The event was hosted in the stunning Quat Quatta in Ripponlea, primarily used as a wedding venue. But tonight was all about decadence, so it was a fabulous choice.
Along one side of the room was a selection of Deliveroo-participating restaurants that can only be described as a foodie’s dream smorgasbord. It was like I died and went to some kind of Sizzler-on-steroids heaven.
The selection of food included the likes of Huxtaburger, Hanoi Hannah, and Poke-D. When the burgers came out the servers were swamped by the masses, but they didn’t stop coming and ensured everyone was munching them down. Poke-D had two salads that I got to sample, one of which was a spicy salmon avocado number that was my pick of the night.
Also on offer were cute Deliveroo branded shortbreads, whisky tastings, and a selection of gelati. On top of all the food there was an open bar highlighting Deliveroo’s expansion into the booze delivery market, which my plus one and I agreed we will be taking advantage of for sure.
We didn’t leave empty handed either. We were gifted colourful Deliveroo totes which we managed to stuff with more cookies. Despite the food coma, we even managed to force down a few more cookies before we retreated back home.
If you haven’t tried Deliveroo yet, get onboard for the cute delivery bike riders and the selection of restaurants you don’t find elsewhere.
