A ‘Trickster’ At The Butterfly Club

Fall down the rabbit hole of The Butterfly Club and into the world of weird and wonderful.  This colourfully eclectic venue captures your attention with an array of tiny trinkets. I carefully admired the wall to wall exhibit of bits and bobs. I felt like Alice entering Wonderland on a magical, fantastical adventure.  Then I took a seat to see the cabaret performance of Bradley Storer in ‘Trickster’. My enchanting story changed from fantasy to freak.

The show had everything you’d expect from a cabaret: singing, dancing and drama, but with a wicked twist of ghoulish kink. Don’t expect anything normal here. It was strange affair covering a variety of topics from celebrity to social and political themes.  A solo act, Brad bewitched the audience with his sass and self-deprecating humour.

A duet with a plastic squealing pig? It was an oddball, bizarre, and kooky trip. The intimate setting allowed us to get up close and personal with Bradley and boy did he love to tease. He’s quirky personality and his boisterous banter ignited the crowd. What a star. This man has serious talent. Not only did he own the stage, he owned the entire venue.  And talk about a hot bod. The show starts with an almost naked Storer in his boxer briefs. A shy guy Bradley is not.

If you’ve never seen a cabaret, get your booty over to the Butterfly Club and have a few chuckles and awkward moments with this nightmare-ish one-man circus.
