Western suburbs rejoice: The Burger Business is now open every day of the week. This new addition to the Footscray dining scene brings you quintessential American comfort food. I’m talking about burgers, cheese, loaded fries, cheese, milkshakes, and of course cheese.
Opening its doors in January 2016, the guys and dolls at Burger Business pride themselves on using artisanal buns, house=made sauces and freshly made burger patties and chicken schnitzels. It’s all about laid back, casual dining and good food at Burger Business. They’ve got indoor seating for the cooler months, an outdoor courtyard for the warmer months, and the licence to serve alcohol.
My plus one and I were treated to a lunchtime feast in the groovy outdoor courtyard, complete with fake grass and not so fake lemon trees. Lunch started with some delicious milkshakes, chicken nuggets and loaded fries. The milkshakes are so decadent. I tried the salted caramel, chocolate and Nutella milkshakes because: fat, that’s why. They taste as good as they look, and they look damn fine.
The burgers range from $9 to $13 and include lamb, chicken, beef, and veggie options. I opted for the Spicy Fiesta with haloumi and the old time classic Cheeseburger. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and tender and the beef patty was on point.
If you want to mix things up a bit, that’s cool. There are heaps of add-ons to choose from in order to create your own masterpiece. Feelings extra carnivorous and in the mood for a tower of meat? Great! The house specials usually include a crazy concoction of meat upon meat upon meat. This usually contains bacon, 3 X beef patty, 1 X chicken patty and the option to add more meat, if you so wish.
We now get two more days a week to stop in at The Burger Business and enjoy the all-American deliciousness that is the burger. Grab some friends and head down for burgers, bevies and some good times.
